Lately I have been picking some Warrior Soul boots in trades as I used to be really into them.
Then it struck me... Does anyone know what this band or Kory is up to now?
I saw them in London in September 2000, since then I think they might have released a Greatest Hits CD with rerecordings (if it wasn't released before that gig) and that's the last I've heard of any of them.
The Spaceage Playboys is still one of the most powerful records in my collection and still the one I put on when I am really pissed off and need to scream a bit... guess my neighbours wouldn't mind if they released a new one soon:-)
Any info would be appreciated

I saw them in Bristol back in 1993, not having heard any of their material. It was one of the most punk rock shows I ever saw. Kory was an absolute performer. Half way through, they lent the guitars up against the backline & walked off leaving 10 minutes of howling feedback. They then came on & played the rest of the set. Inspirational!

Kory is one of my absolute idols. I have got all Warrior soul's albums, Space Age Playboy's and Kory's solo work. But I will be brief. He released a solo CD in 2003 (Opium Hotel) and now he's playing with the Dirty Rig
(http://www.myspace.com/dirtyrig)One of their song appears on Hollywood Hairspray Vol.5. If you want more infos PM me.

Thanks Glammarshmellow!:-)
Listening to his new band from myspace now! Sounds good.
Yeah, that September 2000 gig was great too!
Kory came on stage with a bottle of vine and a couple of the band looked like they were going through the roof from cocaine.
The only negative point was that the guitarist hadn't bothered to learn the songs from the Space Age Playboys record properly and kept fucking up... I think all of those songs.... but the rest of it was definitly great.
They started with the "We are the government" chant and just took off from there. A truely great rock'n'roll night

The Space Age Playboys is the band he joined/formed when Warrior Soul's story ended. He formed this band with Jonnhy Jetson. Now jonnhy is playing in Tattooed Millionaires and they have just released an album titled The Band With no Fear. Before the Tattooed Millionaires, jonnhy played in the Queer For Girls. They released only one album (ANDROID SEX & CARTOON DRUGS). I hear no difference between The Tattoed and Queer for Girls. So if you like one, you'll like the other. And if you liked the space Age playboys (the band), you'll like Johnny's albums.
Oh, i was about to forget, Cato from the Norway Kiss Army asked me to say you hello. So HELLO!!

Hey! You know Cato???
Saw him at a convention last year. Hadn't seen him in years then. Nice guy! Say HELLO back:-)
I have the Space Age Playboys records too and they are probably my favourite Kory stuff ever (together with the SAPB warrior soul album)
Thanks for the tips, will try to check out those other bands too
